The challenge
A web proxy is an essential element for securing a company network.
Monitoring incoming traffic with firewalls is essential, but insufficient, as it cannot prevent an attack from a virus or a Trojan malware sent by email or stored on a USB stick for example. Using a proxy for security is the best solution for restricting outgoing communications and providing your monitoring centre with important information concerning malicious activity inside your company IT systems.

Flows will have to go through a proxy that will analyze all requests and contents (even if the connection is encrypted) and check that it does not correspond to an address known as malicious, or to a virus or Trojan signature.
